The “RSRV Cuvée Lalou” champagne from G.H. Mumm is produced only in vintages when the house deems the quality sufficient to justify the production of this vintage, the chef de caves Didier Mariotti selects which chardonnay and pinot noir grapes from seven different Grand Crus can contribute to the Cuvée. Each parcel is processed separately and then aged in barrel for a total of 10 years. This results in an elegant and complex Brut, where the aromatic palette on the nose is nothing short of elegant, a prelude to a precise and sharp sip, always incisive. A bottle for special evenings.

THE CHAMPAGNE

The “RSRV Cuvée Lalou” champagne from G.H. Mumm is produced only in vintages that the house deems worthy of justifying the production of this vintage wine. The chef de caves Didier Mariotti selects which Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from seven different Grand Crus can contribute to the Cuvée. Each parcel is processed separately and then left to mature in barrels for a total of 10 years. Thus, an elegant and complex Brut is born, where the aromatic palette on the nose is nothing short of elegant, a prelude to a precise and sharp sip, always incisive. A bottle for special evenings.
THE MAISON

The Maison G.H. Mumm was officially established in 1827 with the opening of a branch in Reims by the brothers Mumm, although it has much older roots since the wine history of the family’s founder, Peter Arnold Mumm, dates back to 1761 in Cologne. Today, G.H. Mumm owns 218 hectares, of which 160 are classified as Grand Crus, the best terroirs in the Champagne region, particularly from eight historic villages: Aÿ, Bouzy, Ambonnay, Verzy, Verzenay, Mailly, Avize, and Cramant. In 1920, René Lalou became a member of the Board of Directors of the Maison Mumm. A visionary personality, Lalou placed quality and territory at the center of the company’s development. In his continuous quest for consistency in quality, Mumm introduced model practices, such as the installation of presses directly in the vineyards to avoid damaging the grapes during transport. Illustrious royal families have been captivated by the Champagnes from this Maison over the decades, and today it is the official supplier to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as evidenced by the Royal Warrant that adorns the neck of its bottle along with the red ribbon, the Cordon Rouge, which celebrates its awarding of the Legion of Honor. This quality is always at the center of every step, as stated in the motto introduced by Georges Hermann Mumm: "Only the best."
