Champagne is a classic method sparkling wine, famous all over the world and commonly associated with the concepts of luxury and celebration. It takes its name from the Champagne region, located in the north-east of France, where wine is produced. According to legend, the use of the champenois winemaking method is due to the monk Dom Pérignon. The Champagne vineyards cover an area of 35,000 hectares between the departments of the Marne, Aube and Aisne, in northern France. The most used vines are Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier (red vines, used mainly in one of the most famous white wines in the world) and Chardonnay, which give their specific characteristics and characteristics to every great cru. Mumm starting exclusively from chardonnay grapes grown in the Grand Cru of Cramant, inside the Côte des Blancs, a terroir that belongs to the maison starting in 1882.
