Alta Langa
Alta Langa DOCG: the Piedmontese excellence in signature sparkling wines
The Alta Langa DOCG represents the pinnacle of Piedmontese elegance in the world of Metodo Classico sparkling wines, an exclusive designation that combines history, altitude, and exceptional productive savoir-faire. On Vino45, you will find a curated selection of fine labels, authentic expressions of a territory renowned for interpreting the great Italian sparkling wine tradition like few others. Born among the highest hills of the Langhe, this designation has its roots in over a century of experimentation and today is synonymous with quality, sophistication, and aromatic finesse.
Produced from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes cultivated over 250 meters above sea level, the Alta Langa benefits from a cool climate and ideal temperature variations, which impart a vibrant structure and a complex aromatic profile to the wines. The rigorous Metodo Classico with a minimum aging of 30 months on the lees – often much longer for prestigious cuvées – provides an extremely fine perlage, unique depth of flavor, and surprising longevity, making each bottle a true oenological gem.
In the glass, it presents a bright straw color, enhanced by golden reflections. The aromas range from white flowers and citrus to more evolved notes of bread crust, dried fruit, and honey. On the palate, the balance between freshness, savoriness, and aromatic complexity offers an elegant and persistent sip, perfect for both a refined aperitif and pairing with risottos, fish, white meats, and the most representative dishes of Piedmontese cuisine.
Discovering the Alta Langa on Vino45 means accessing an exclusive sensory journey, ideal for those seeking characterful sparkling wines capable of combining tradition and innovation in a sophisticated and timeless tasting experience.
