Premier Cru Beaune 'Clos des Mouches' by Chanson Père & Fils is a very pleasant wine, made from pure Chardonnay grapes that grow on stony soil composed of limestone, clay and silica. The vineyard is four and a half hectares wide, in a hilly and sunny area. The refinement lasts for a year or so in oak barrels, in the splendid cellar of the fifteenth century. An ideal wine to accompany seafood or white meats.
Chablis Fourchaumes 'Vieilles Vignes' by Domaine Laroche is the "King" of the Premier Cru. The most prestigious of all. Golden yellow color. Elegant, wide and generous to the nose. Fruity and buttery with a pleasant mineral note. It's hot in the mouth, with hints of honey. Great structure and a long finish. It can age and express the best of itself up to 15 years.
'Baroness Nadine' by Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons is a South African Chardonnay that is appreciated for class, sophistication and personality. Rests a year in French oak barriques. Attractive stone and mineral aromas with fresh lemon flowers and grapefruit shades. A delicate composition of lemon nut and light macadamia roasted. Really great.
