Falanghina is a white grape variety. It is very old, originally from the slopes of Taburno and some areas of the Campi Flegrei, but for some decades the production of Sant'Agata de 'Goti is also famous. It gives rise to several DOC wines of Campania, including Falanghina del Taburno, Campi Flegrei, Galluccio. The vine is the most widespread of the province of Benevento, its historic area until thirty years ago were the municipalities of Bonea and Benevento, where still surviving secular vineyards.
