The Pomerol 'Petrus' by Chateau Petrus is a wine-icon recognized all over the world. Assembling 95% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, is produced in about 30,000 bottles a year, certainly does not need any introduction. It has an incredible aging potential of over 30 years. Unique and inimitable.

The Pomerol by Château La Fleur-Pétrus proves to be an exceptional wine, perfectly balanced in all its organoleptic components. Assembling 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, it offers an olfactory and gustative richness, without being too demanding. An irresistible red.

The Merlot 'Vigne 50 Anni' by Le Vigne di Zamò is made after a careful selection in the old vineyards: the Merlot grapes are macerated in truncated conical wooden vats for a period of 20 days. Then followed by racking, traditional pressing of the marc and decanting in barriques. After approx. 18 months the wine is bottled and aged for another 2 years in the bottle. An excellent Merlot.

The Colli Euganei 'Gemola' by Vignalta comes from the assembly of Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes grown in the Monte Gemola vineyard. The particular volcanic soil makes it possible to produce this jewel of elegance, refined in aromas and solid on the palate. Refine in new 500 l Francesce oak barrels for 36 months. Excellent with red meat.


'Cornelius' by Cornell Colterenzio is an elegant Bordeaux blend of Merlot and Cabernet all in the name of the South Tyrol terroir and its wine culture. The wine is assembled and racked into small oak barrels, destined to mature for 14 months before a period of aging in the bottle for a further 12 months. Cornell represents the excellence of Colterenzio, are wines produced with grapes from the best vineyards that, thanks to the care, passion and aging in barrels are transformed into extremely complex and long-lived tastings.


'Sodale' by Falesco of the Cotarella family is produced with 100% Merlot grapes, hand-picked in a vineyard located 300 meters above sea level. After fermentation in steel the wine is left to mature in wooden barrels of different origins and toasting for at least 9 months. A red with notes of red fruit and sweet spices that blend in a perfect balance with the vanilla notes of wood. Round, harmonious and pleasant wine with a persistent finish and sweet tannins.

'Poggio ai Merli' by Castellare di Castellina is the most direct demonstration of how Tuscany is an exceptional land for Merlot. It is left to rest for up to 30 months in new French oak barrels, and is completed with a further year of aging in glass. It is a Merlot that is included in the list of those that are the largest reds on the Peninsula. Of great structure and great personality, it was vinified for the first time with the vintage of 1999, and right from the start it established itself as a sort of "symbol monument" of excellent wines. It is an exceptional Merlot. Limited edition, numbered bottles.

The Baffonero vineyard is at the foot of the cellar designed by Renzo Piano, with a perfect exposure. A Merlot whose wine is made in steel and whose maturation continues in new French oak barrels for about 14 months. A great red that in the glass is revealed with intensity and elegance, richness and great persistence. Excellent for aging.

Toscana Rosso 'Excelsus' by Castello Banfi is produced only in great vintages. It is a Supertuscan that perfectly integrates the best tradition of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with the territory of Montalcino and with the tradition of Castello Banfi. Austere wine, of rare concentration and structure, whose maturation requires a passage in barrique of at least 20 months. The result is an intense wine that has very fruity scents accompanied by more complex notes of jam, spices, tobacco and coffee. In the mouth, it shows all its grandeur, with sweet tannins and very persistent hints.

Toscana Rosso 'Le Volte dell'Ornellaia' by Tenuta Ornellaia, combines the Mediterranean character of generosity and opulence with structure and complexity. A selection of Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon, is subjected to a 10-month aging in barrique. It reflects the philosophy and the savoir-faire of Ornellaia. Superb in quality / price ratio.

Toscana Rosso 'Futuro' by Colombaio di Cencio is made in the best vineyards of the winery in Loc. Cornia and Loc. Monticello, which grow at 450 meters above sea level. A red that looks to the 'Future' without forgetting the past and the great vinifications that have made the Gaiole in Chianti winery great over time. Obtained from 33% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% French Cabernet, this blend gives life to an elegant red, with an authoritative tannic texture, vinified in steel and aged in large barrels and tonneaux for 24 months.

'Grottaia Rosso' by Caccia al Piano is made from carefully selected grapes, harvested separately by verity and plot. Aged in stainless steel tanks, it is a lean and breezy red. The bright ruby red color announces a fresh and inviting wine. The aromas are fresh and ethereal with small notes of red fruits and violet. The palate describes a fresh and captivating wine, ready and easy to drink and characterized by a light tannin that underlines its pleasant youth.
