Domaine Laroche
In the renowned region of Burgundy, cradle of grand oenological excellence, the Domaine Laroche stands as a beacon of winemaking mastery and tradition. Located in the heart of Chablis, this winery is an emblem of the perfect alchemy between land and man that makes Burgundian wines unique in the world. Founded on a vision that embraces both historical heritage and production innovation with equal passion, Domaine Laroche is a guardian of purity and refinement, qualities that are reflected in every glass of wine produced.
The terroir of Chablis, characterized by limestone soils and a cool climate, provides the ideal conditions for cultivating Chardonnay, the only grape variety that finds its fullest expression here. The vineyards of Domaine Laroche, tended with dedication and respect for the environment, give rise to wines that are a faithful portrait of their place of origin. Among the main labels, the Chablis Grand Cru stands out, a wine of extraordinary elegance and minerality, capable of transporting those who taste it among the verdant hills and chalky soils of Burgundy.
Each bottle signed by Domaine Laroche tells a story of authenticity and character, offering a sensory experience that evokes notes of citrus, white flowers, and a distinctive mineral background. A journey that seduces the senses and invites discovery of the depth and complexity of the Chablis terroir.

THE COMPANY
Domaine Laroche is one of the most important wine producers in Chablis, in northern Burgundy. In addition to its excellent mineral wines made from Chardonnay grapes, the company has interests in more distant regions such as Languedoc, Chile, and South Africa.
The Domaine was founded in Chablis in 1850 by a vineyard worker, Jean Victor Laroche. After five generations in the family, Domaine Laroche has become one of the largest producers of Chablis. It offers 6 hectares of grand cru vineyards with soils in Les Blanchots, Les Bougros, and Les Clos, as well as another 30 hectares of premier cru vineyards. Despite these estates, 70 percent of Laroche's production is actually dedicated to the village of Chablis, including its flagship wine Saint Martin. There is also a single Petit Chablis in the Laroche portfolio. In 2014, Domaine Laroche launched a single vineyard from the village of Chablis called Vieille Voye. This is an unknown practice as most of the Burgundy village wines are blended from multiple sites.
Recently, Michel Laroche has led an expansion of the brand into new regions. An estate in Languedoc named Mas La Chevalièr offers regional varieties not found in Burgundy, including Syrah, Grenache, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier. In 2002, Laroche ventured into Chile with the property Viña Punto Alto, which produces under the label Viña Laroche. The fruit comes from the Casablanca, Maipo, and Colchagua valleys and includes Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. In the same year, Laroche also acquired the L'Avener winery in South Africa.
In the early 2000s, Domaine Laroche became the first estate in Burgundy to adopt screw caps for its entire range, including all grand and premier cru wines. In 2009, the company merged with Languedoc negociant Jeanjean to become Advini. Along with Domaine Laroche and its new global initiatives, Advini owns wineries throughout southern France, as well as in Bordeaux and the southern Rhône valley.
