Single Malt Japanese Whisky (500 ml. boxed) - White Oak Distillery - Akashi
The Japanese Blended Whisky Akashi delle White Oak Distillery is superb and powerful, and can harmoniously combine the presence of vanilla notes with the smells of American oak. The limited quantities in which it is produced make it even more precious. Unmissable.
THE WHISKY
The nose is soft with notes of apples, velvet and fruit. On the palate it is sweet, dry and velvety with notes of dried fruit, followed by floral feelings, which become more persistent with the addition of water. In the final you feel all the youth of this single malt.
THE DISTILLERY
The White Oak Distillery, founded in 1888 by Eigashima Shuzo, produced classic sakes until 1984 when it was expanded with the addition of algae for whiskey production. The distillery algae work only for one month per year so the amount of whiskey produced is always very small. Akashi Single Malt is a vatted whiskey with no age definition consisting of single malt aged 7, 5 and 4 years in different barrels.
