The Single Malt Scotch Whisky Speyside 'Organic' 2012 Benromach is crafted from the finest malt and the purest water, and is the first certified organic single malt. The entire production and maturation process is certified, with a minimum aging of three years in new American oak casks. Each cask is hand-filled, weighed, and stamped before resting in traditional dunnage warehouses. On the nose, it releases sweet aromas of charred oak, banana, and pineapple, with smoky and earthy hints. The palate is rich and velvety, while a splash of water brings out softer notes of malt and fresh fruit. Best enjoyed neat or with dark chocolate and aged cheeses.

THE WHISKY
The Single Malt Scotch Whisky Speyside 'Organic' 2012 Benromach is crafted from the finest malt and the purest water, and is the first certified organic single malt. The entire production and maturation process is certified, with a minimum aging of three years in new American oak casks. The palate is rich and velvety, while a splash of water brings out softer notes of malt and fresh fruit. Best enjoyed neat or with dark chocolate and aged cheeses.
THE DISTILLERY
The Benromach Distillery was founded in 1898 by a spirits merchant, F. W. Brickman, who partnered with Duncan Mc Callum, then the owner of the Glen Nevis distillery. The history of Benromach, located in Forres in northern Scotland, is marked by continuous changes of ownership and periods of more or less lengthy closures caused by prohibition, the whisky crisis, the economic depression of the 1930s, and world conflicts. However, since 1993, the company has been owned by the independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail, who has been credited with bringing the distillery to produce whisky of excellent quality. Using the best natural ingredients, starting with water that springs from the nearby Romach Hills, and respecting the necessary slowness in executing each phase of the distillation process, the whiskies labeled Benromach are all well-balanced and properly smoky, standing out for achieving the highest degree of perfection.
