The Sauvignon Blanc ‘Little Beauty’ 2023 by Vinultra comes from the East Coast of the Waihopai Valley, in the heart of the Marlborough GI, from two terraces hosting three vineyard areas. The 2023 vintage, marked by sunny days and cool nights, ensured slow and complete ripening, enhancing aromas and acidity. Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, vinified with cold maceration and fermentation in chilled steel, then aged on fine lees. The bouquet shows thyme, linden, sweet fennel and yellow plum, with herbal and mineral notes. The palate is elegant, enveloping and structured, with chalky freshness and a long finish. Perfect with oysters, shellfish, fish carpaccio and fresh goat cheeses.

THE COMPANY

Vinultra is located in Marlborough, in one of the richest, most loved and best-known wine-growing areas of New Zealand on a global level. The cultivated vines are the renowned Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir (choice vines of this area) as well as Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer. Marlborough is located in the northernmost area of the South Island on the east coast. It is the largest wine-growing region in New Zealand with approximately 22,000 hectares of vineyards in total and boasts very particular pedoclimatic conditions, completely favorable to viticulture with generally long and dry summers, intense daylight, cool and windy nights, ideal conditions for obtaining a perfect ripening of the grapes which will give wines with strong aromatic hints and intense flavours. The wines are produced from individual vineyards located on undulating river terraces, each with a particular soil composition that distinguishes them.
