The 'Versalto' by Alois Lageder is a pure organic Pinot Blanc. The grapes used for its production come partly from Pochi di Salorno, on the left orographic side of the Adige Valley, and partly from the vineyards of Penone, on the opposite side of the valley, just above the village of Magrè. Both plots are located at about 500 meters of altitude, offering ideal conditions for this grape variety. The wine is aged partly in steel and partly in wooden barrels for about 9 months. A white wine with a slightly aromatic, fruity bouquet, with mineral notes, and on the palate, it is moderately structured, full, elegant, rigorous, fresh, and dry. It is an ideal pairing with appetizers, asparagus, fish, shellfish, white meats, and poultry.

THE WINE
The 'Versalto' by Alois Lageder is a pure organic Pinot Blanc. The grapes used to produce it come partly from Pochi di Salorno, on the left orographic side of the Adige Valley, and partly from the vineyards of Penone, on the opposite side of the valley, just above the village of Magrè. Both plots are located at about 500 meters above sea level and offer ideal conditions for this grape variety. The wine is aged partly in steel and partly in wooden barrels for about 9 months. A white wine with a slightly aromatic, fruity bouquet, with mineral notes and a medium-structured, full, elegant, rigorous, fresh, dry palate. Ideal pairing with appetizers, asparagus, fish, shellfish, white meats, poultry.
THE COMPANY

A true synonym of excellence, Alois Lageder over the years has demonstrated the best of what Alto Adige can express in terms of personality, elegance, and territorial adherence. This result is the product of a clear vision of its work, where every activity is closely linked to the others in a virtuous circle that has found fulfillment in the conversion to biodynamics of the owned vineyards.
Founded in 1823 and now in its sixth generation, the company stands out for its ability to blend tradition and innovation: "quality is always the result of many details, sometimes even minimal," recalls Alois Lageder, "and in all processing phases, we first try to find harmony among all the factors involved, working in harmony with nature." It is no coincidence that each wine, like few others in the region, can tell the ever-different characteristics of its vineyard of origin - Alto Adige is indeed a land extremely rich in soil variety, microclimatic zones, and exposures, which therefore offers ideal conditions to produce wines with marked individuality. The grapes harvested in the family's owned vineyards, about 50 hectares between Magrè, Cortaccia, Termeno, and the area of Lake Caldaro, are cultivated with certified organic and biodynamic methods by Demeter. Moreover, besides managing its vineyards, the company collaborates with a number of trusted winemakers from various areas of Alto Adige, vineyards that overall extend for another 110 hectares, about a quarter of which are cultivated according to biodynamic principles.
It is from this extraordinary context that wines are born, true ambassadors of the territory, charming whites and reds that make up an assortment composed of three levels of quality: the Classics, the Terroir Selections, the Masi.
