Etna Rosato DOC 2023 (750 ml.) Tenute Mannino

Etna Rosato by Tenute Mannino is a pure Nerello Mascalese. Grapes harvested from 30-50 year old vines located on the slopes of the volcano in Contrada Bragaseggi on the northern side of Etna, at an altitude of 600 m.a.s.l.. Freshness and minerality, elegance and great drinkability are the characteristics of a wine obtained from the prince variety of Etna. It has a pale pink color with pleasant coral shades and on the nose it releases delicate floral notes but also small red fruits and wild strawberries. The taste is fresh, savory and mineral, with a fairly long finish that recalls the sip. Less than 2,000 bottles produced. A rosé wine with great versatility in pairings, ideal with Mediterranean dishes, vegetables or fish soups. Try it with a pasta based on swordfish and bottarga.

Tenute Mannino

On the slopes of Etna, in the heart of the Catania plain, stands Tenuta del Gelso, a place where tradition meets vision, and where wine tells a centuries-old story. Since the early 1800s, this manor house has been much more than a farm: a true laboratory of winemaking innovation, guided by the foresight of Baron Franz Mannino, who brought the family wines to Europe and North America, obtaining recognition at prestigious universal exhibitions.

During the grape harvest, the ancient palmento – one of the oldest in the area – came to life in a choral celebration that involved the entire community: children, friends, neighbors. It was an explosion of scents, lights and colors that celebrated the cycle of nature and the indissoluble bond with the land.

Today, Giorgio Mannino, the sixth generation of a family that has managed to combine ancient values and modern entrepreneurial spirit, is collecting the legacy of this noble history. Following the impetus given by his father Giuseppe, a central figure in the relaunch of the Etna DOC denomination, the estate is now a dynamic, solid and forward-looking agricultural and winemaking reality, while remaining firmly anchored to its historical identity.

The wines of Tenute Mannino di Plachi are born from a unique terroir, sculpted by the force of the volcano, an ideal Mediterranean climate and knowledge handed down with respect and innovation. Tenuta del Gelso is not just a place of production: it is a crossroads of culture and history, whose salons have hosted figures of the caliber of Giovanni Verga and Ettore Majorana, testifying to the patronage spirit of the family.

Vino45 is proud to bring Tenute Mannino wines to the tables of its customers, an authentic expression of a noble, generous and contemporary Etna, where every glass is a journey through time and passion.
