The Maremma Toscana DOC Rosato San Michele N.3 2024 from Poggio L’Apparita, internationally award-winning, is crafted from the result of two separate harvests of Sangiovese grapes, grown on a distinctive Maremma terroir marked by sandy-clay soils, strong ventilation and abundant sunlight, which enhance aromatic intensity and natural salinity. Gentle soft pressing and low-temperature fermentation preserve purity and freshness. Its delicately pale pink hue anticipates a fresh, citrus-driven, refined and aromatic profile, both rich and balanced, with pronounced sapidity that delivers an unusually long finish for a rosé. The interplay of fruit elegance and territorial minerality makes it an excellent pairing with seafood crudo, fish carpaccio, vegetarian dishes and light summer cuisine. Only 3,998 bottles produced.

The "L'Apparita" Agricultural Company, established in 1978, spans over an area of 20 hectares in the countryside of Maremma Toscana, about 20 km north of Grosseto towards Siena. The property, due to its historical and scenic importance, is entirely under the protection of the Environmental Heritage of the Provinces of Siena and Grosseto. The origins of the farmhouse are uncertain: it is not clear if it was once a customs free zone between the Republic of Siena and the Papal State, or, given its architecture, if it was a military settlement, known on ancient land registry maps as Podere San Michele - hence the choice to name our products "San Michele di Poggio L'Apparita".
Address:
Località L'Apparita, 58045 Paganico (GR), Italy
Color: Pale rosé with onion-skin nuances, bright and clean.
Nose: Subtle aromas of pomegranate, red currant and citrus zest, accompanied by gentle hints of wild rose and a light mineral trace.
Palate: Crisp and lively, with vibrant acidity, crunchy red fruit and a saline finish typical of coastal influences.

THE FARM
The farm Poggio L'Apparita, established in 1978 in Tuscany, spreads over an area of 20 hectares in Maremma, and is located 20 km north of Grosseto, in the direction of Siena. The entire property remains under the protection of environmental heritage of the provinces of Siena and Grosseto because of significant scenic interest. The origins of the farmhouse are not certain: it is not clear whether in the past it was a Customhouse on the borders between the Republic of Siena and the Papal States or, in view of its architecture, if it was a military settlement. However, on the old maps it was know as Podere San Michele, hence our choice to name our products San Michele di Poggio L'Apparita.
