Chassagne-Montrachet AOC Pinot Noir 'Vieilles Vignes' 2023 (750 ml.) Domaine Borgeot

The Chassagne-Montrachet AOC Vieilles Vignes 2023 from Domaine Borgeot is made from pure Pinot Noir, grown on over 50-year-old vines that provide intensity and finesse. The 2023 vintage, marked by steady sunshine and well-distributed rains, ensured full ripeness and silky tannins. Traditional vinification with spontaneous fermentations and aging in French oak barriques enhances aromas of crisp red fruits, ripe cherry, and delicate spices, lifted by subtle minerality. The palate shows balance, lively freshness, and elegant persistence, with strong aging potential. Perfect with red meats, game, and aged cheeses, it represents an authentic expression of Chassagne-Montrachet.

Domaine P. & L. Borgeot

Among the hills of authentic Burgundy, on the border between the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise, lies the P. & L. Borgeot winery, a family-run business that for generations has consistently and passionately expressed the true identity of this extraordinary terroir. Founded by brothers Pascal and Laurent, the winery cultivates approximately 23 hectares of vineyards spread across some of the region's most prestigious appellations, including Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Santenay, and Meursault. Here, each parcel is treated with respect and attention, showcasing the distinctive soils and microclimates that make Burgundy unique.

The beating heart of production is entrusted to two iconic grape varieties: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Chardonnay produces elegant white wines, rich in aromatic finesse, characterized by freshness and minerality, with a carefully balanced use of oak that complements without overpowering. Pinot Noir, on the other hand, finds the opportunity to express its full charm in the estate's crus: highly harmonious reds, velvety tannins, aromas of red berries and delicate spices, always with a touch of territorial authenticity.

In the cellar, practices are adopted that combine tradition and technical precision. Vinification respects natural rhythms, while the never-invasive aging in wood helps develop complexity without affecting the varietal character and overall balance of the wines. The family approach allows for direct control over every production phase, ensuring consistent quality and stylistic recognition.

Choosing a wine by P. & L. Borgeot means coming into contact with the essence of Burgundy, made of rigor, passion, and loyalty to the terroir. A heritage of authenticity that you can now also discover through the selection offered by Vino45.
