Haut-Medoc AOC Grand Cru Classe' 2021 (750 ml.) Chateau La Lagune

The Haut-Médoc AOC Grand Cru Classé 2021 Chateau La Lagune is one of the few Grand Cru Classé of 1855located in Haut-Médoc, a symbol of prestige and tradition. The 2021 vintage, cool and balanced, allowed slow ripening, bringing remarkable harmony and refined aromas. Produced from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, it comes from vineyards with deep gravel soils ensuring elegance and complexity. Ageing in French oak barriques, with a significant share of new wood, enhances finesse and ageing potential. On the nose, red fruits, floral notes and fine spices; on the palate, velvety tannins and long persistence. Excellent with red meats, game and matured cheeses, it promises noble cellar evolution.

Château La Lagune

Château La Lagune is one of the most prestigious estates in the Médoc, recognized as a Third Grand Cru Classé in the famous 1855 classification. Located north of Bordeaux, between Margaux and Saint-Julien, it stands out for the quality of its 80 hectares of vineyards, nestled on deep gravel soils that give the wine structure, elegance, and an extraordinary ability to evolve over time. The privileged location, combined with an ideal microclimate, allows the grapes to express themselves to the fullest, producing wines with an unmistakable character.

The heart of the production is the Grand Vin Château La Lagune, a blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and Petit Verdot. The result is a complex, refined, and balanced wine, with aromas of black fruits, flowers, and spices, silky tannins, and a lingering finish. It's a bottle that combines harmony and depth, designed to accompany long cellaring, yet capable of offering great pleasure even in its youth. Alongside it, the estate also offers its second wine, Moulin de La Lagune, and its more accessible label, Mademoiselle L, different expressions of the same terroir, united by freshness and stylistic precision.

Since 2004, the estate has been managed by Caroline Frey, who has introduced environmentally friendly practices and biodynamic viticulture, strengthening the domaine's identity. Each vintage brings with it the story of the land, tradition, and the constant pursuit of excellence. For those who wish to discover or rediscover the elegance of classic Bordeaux, Château La Lagune represents an unrivaled choice. Available on Vino45.
