Barbaresco DOCG 'Gallina' 2021 by Ceretto comes from the renowned Gallina cru in Neive, recently acquired by the estate. With this wine, Ceretto enhances its prestigious Barbaresco collection, debuting a site that has shown extraordinary expressive potential from its very first vintage. Made from 100% Nebbiolo grown with organic practices, it ferments in stainless steel with extended maceration, followed by 24 months in large oak casks. The bouquet is elegant and layered, offering floral notes, wild red berries, forest underbrush, and gentle spices. The palate is rich, structured yet balanced, with chewy, refined tannins. A wine of depth, harmony, and strong territorial identity, it fully embodies Ceretto’s refined vision. Excellent with roast meats, braised dishes, mushroom-based recipes, and aged cheeses.

Tasting

Color: intense garnet red with ruby reflections, bright and transparent, consistent with the typical finesse of Nebbiolo and the vintage.

Bouquet: fine, layered and deep: it opens with floral notes of rose and violet, followed by ripe red berries and small hints of undergrowth. Then emerge delicate spices, tones of licorice, hints of pink pepper and a light balsamic and earthy background.

Taste: rich, structured and enveloping, with a chewy but smooth tannic texture, supported by a lively freshness that gives impetus to the drink. The sip is deep, long and harmonious, with a finish on spicy and mineral hints that fully reflect the territorial identity of the cru.
