The Venezia Giulia IGT Schioppettino 2018 by Bressan is made from pure Schioppettino grapes grown in Farra d’Isonzo, from vines over 30 years old treated only with copper and sulfur. Harvested slightly late, it undergoes slow fermentation in steel and ages for at least 12 months in oak barrels. The result is an unforgettable red with the class of a champion, offering a bouquet from black pepper to tomato, through ripe cherry and earth, constantly evolving. The taste is velvety, full and persistent, with unique tactile depth. Perfect with game, red meats and aged cheeses, it delivers a remarkable experience.

The IGT Venezia Giulia designation is the stage on which Bressan showcases its wine spectacle, a sensory journey rooted in ancient practices and uncompromising methods.
The production philosophy of Bressan is a hymn to nature and craftsmanship. Each glass is the result of a process that respects the natural cycle, where the hand of man guides wisely and sensitively. The grapes, including the distinctive Schioppettino and the refined Pinot Grigio, are cultivated using traditional methods, without invasive interventions, to preserve the essence of the terroir and the purity of varietal expression.
The wines of Bressan are a symphony of character and complexity. THE COMPANY

Fulvio Bressan is an unconventional winemaker from Friuli who categorically rejects the passing and homogenizing trends that the wine world is full of, proudly following a niche production vision aimed at offering the truest oenological manifestation of the Isonzo territory. The ancient winemaking roots of the Bressan family date back to the 18th century, while the recent affirmation is owed to Fulvio L. Bressan, the ninth generation of "master winemakers" and current owner, who has had the merit of leading the Farra d'Isonzo winery to definitive global recognition. For the estate's logo, the Bressan family has taken the family crest, in which the ankh cross rises at the center.
Within the approximately 20 hectares of vineyards owned, on land composed of layers of gravel laid over clays and sandstone marls, Fulvio Bressan cultivates native and international varieties such as Friulano, Verduzzo, Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana, Schioppettino, Pignolo, Moscato Rosa, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Nero, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The plants are cultivated according to a truly sustainable and conscientious viticulture, which excludes the use of synthetic chemicals and requires manual execution of agronomic operations, respecting the natural cycle of the vine. The harvest is carried out only when the grapes have reached full ripeness and is followed by spontaneous alcoholic fermentation of the musts in stainless steel tanks, in contact with the skins even for white grapes. The wine containers used for aging include stainless steel tanks and wooden barrels of various capacities and types, where the wines mature for a long time on fine lees until bottling, which is done without any prior filtration.
The wines of the Bressan winery represent true jewels of Friulian artisanal winemaking, endowed with exemplary typicity born from a solid peasant culture. From orange wines to red wines, passing through the peculiar ‘Rosantico’, the labels of Fulvio Bressan stand as unique expressions that reflect the strong personality of their creator.
