THE WINE
The 'Puiten' by Colterenzio is a classic rich in finesse produced with grapes from selected historic vineyards. Fermented, and then left to mature for ten months, partially in steel and partially in tonneau, it is among the best Pinot Grigio of South Tyrol. A fascinating, delicate, soft, fresh, and mineral wine, with a delicate balance between elegance and complexity. Pleasantly fruity bouquet and harmonious and balanced sip.
THE COMPANY
The Archduke Sigismund, residing at Castel Firmiano in the 15th century, was not the first to appreciate the good wine of Colterenzio. In fact, as early as 15 BC, the Roman settler Cornelius recognized the extraordinary fertility of this land and decided to settle here, thus laying the foundations for the current winegrowing vocation of Colterenzio. His farm "Cornelianum," which gave its name to the village of Cornaiano, stood on a hill not far away. The ancient tradition was renewed in 1960 when 28 winemakers founded the Colterenzio Winery. Over the years, others joined them, and today Colterenzio has nearly 300 passionate winegrower members who supply grapes from about 300 hectares of vineyards they own.
