The Bianco Riserva 'LR' from Colterenzio is the most important and prestigious white wine of the winery, inspired by Luis Raifer, the soul of the winery who brought it to success. It is a seductive white wine of great elegance, both in content and presentation, made with a typical blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, and Sauvignon, using only the best grapes from vineyards located at an altitude of 400–550 m s.l.m. It is aged in wood for 1 year and another 3 years in the bottle. Rich, broad bouquet with hints of exotic fruit, butter, and delicate vegetal notes. With an elegant, creamy, and round body, it is seductive and deep, with significant structure. An simply extraordinary wine. Excellent with cheeses, white meats, and fish.

Colterenzio

In the enchanting setting of Trentino-Alto Adige, where the mountains touch the sky and the climate becomes a perfect ally for viticulture, lies the winery Colterenzio. A name that embodies the strength and passion of a unique cooperative, capable of uniting local winemakers under the banner of quality and respect for the land. Here, among the vineyards that climb the slopes of the Alps, the wines come to life, telling stories of tradition and innovation.
Colterenzio stands out in the wine landscape of Alto Adige for its ability to enhance the climatic and varietal peculiarities of the area, producing wines that faithfully reflect the identity of the territory. The winery pays particular attention to both indigenous and international grapes, such as the refined Gewürztraminer, the vibrant Sauvignon, and the elegant Pinot Noir, each cultivated with meticulous attention to detail.
Among the most celebrated labels, the Pinot Noir and Sauvignon shine, two wines that perfectly embody the spirit of Colterenzio. The Pinot Noir is distinguished by its refined structure and aromatic bouquet that ranges from berries to delicate spicy notes, while the Sauvignon surprises with its intense aromas of citrus and white flowers, accompanied by exceptional freshness on the palate.

LR: PURE PASSION
LR was officially presented in the autumn of 2014. Since then, four vintages of this exclusive cuvée have been launched on the market, becoming a cult object for lovers of special wines.
Although LR has only existed for a few years, the idea for its creation dates back many years, particularly to the time when Luis Raifer, the undisputed pioneer of South Tyrolean viticulture, was president and director of Cantina Colterenzio. He wanted to "Produce an exclusive wine that could excite a very demanding clientele and at the same time strengthen the image and prestige of Colterenzio."
After many trials and experiments to identify the right varieties, LR 2011 was finally born in 2014: Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon, and Gewürztraminer (2015 vintage without Gewürztraminer), important grape varieties for Colterenzio, which, left to mature on the lees and aged in wood, compose this extraordinary cuvée. A structured and elegant wine, presented in a refined packaging, capable of exciting.
A transparent bottle through which one can glimpse the label, in baroque style, depicting a Dionysian scene, different for each vintage. A fine metal net wraps the bottle, like the filigree of a Renaissance corset, giving it an elegant and unique appearance. The vintages now produced, 2011, 2012, 2013, and the new 2015 vintage, can be found in the most exclusive restaurants, where sommeliers and industry experts are fascinated by the wine and its extraordinary packaging.
THE WINE
'LR' are the initials of Luis Raifer, the great inspirer of this wine. Raifer was for many years the president and director of Cantina Colterenzio as well as one of the pioneers of the qualitative revolution.
After several years and various attempts to identify the right varieties, LR was finally born. Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon, and Gewürztraminer, aged on the lees and matured in wood, compose this cuvée with an important structure and feminine elegance. Femininity that also wants to be conveyed through an external wrapper, unique in its kind for its elegance and refinement.
