The Gewürztraminer 'Am Sand' by Alois Lageder comes from the pure native variety of grape from biodynamic agriculture vineyards. When possible, part of the grapes is harvested with the presence of noble rot. The result is an intense white wine with a rich and engaging personality. Bouquet of tropical fruit, sweet spice, and a fresh rocky mineral trail, with marked savoriness perfectly balanced with the full body. A wine with a strong personality.

THE WINE
The Gewürztraminer 'Am Sand' by Alois Lageder comes from the homonymous pure native grape variety from biodynamic agriculture vineyards. When possible, part of the grapes is harvested with the presence of noble rot. The result is an intense white wine with a rich and engaging personality. Bouquet of tropical fruit, sweet spice, and a fresh mineral rocky trail, with a pronounced sapidity perfectly balanced with the full body. A wine with a decisive personality.
THE COMPANY

A true synonym of excellence, Alois Lageder over the years has demonstrated the best that Alto Adige can express in terms of personality, elegance, and territorial adherence. A result born from a clear vision of their work, where every activity is closely linked to others in a virtuous circle that has found fulfillment in the conversion to biodynamics of the proprietary vineyards.
Founded in 1823 and now reaching the sixth generation, the company stands out for its ability to blend tradition and innovation: “quality is always the result of many details, sometimes even minimal - recalls Alois Lageder - and in all phases of processing we first try to find harmony among all the factors involved, working in harmony with nature.” It is no coincidence that each wine manages like few others in the region to tell the always different characteristics of its vineyard of origin - Alto Adige is indeed a land extremely rich in soil variety, microclimatic areas, and exposures, thus offering ideal conditions for producing wines with distinct individuality. The grapes harvested in the family-owned vineyards, about 50 hectares between Magrè, Cortaccia, Termeno, and in the Caldaro lake area, are grown with biological and biodynamic methods certified by Demeter. Not only that, in addition to managing the proprietary vineyards, the company collaborates with a number of trusted winegrowers from different areas of Alto Adige, vineyards that collectively extend for another 110 hectares, about a quarter of which are cultivated according to the principles of biodynamics.
It is from this extraordinary context that wines are born which are true ambassadors of the territory, captivating whites and reds that make up an assortment consisting of three quality levels: the Classics, the Terroir Selections, the Masi.
