The 'Nozze d'Oro' County of Sclafani by Tasca Conti d'Almerita is a seal of love between people and grapevines. It is the tribute of Count Giuseppe Tasca to his wife Franca after 50 years of marriage, but it is also the bond between Insolia and Sauvignon Tasca, a clone existing in Tenuta since the end of the Great War. A fresh blend when young and rich in complexity after many years. It is a blend where Inzolia forms the backbone onto which 25% of Sauvignon is grafted. The grapes come from Tenuta Regaleali, and are grown in vineyards located at an altitude ranging from 450 to 900 meters above sea level. Only steel and aging on the lees for 4-5 months, before being bottled. A fresh blend when young and rich in complexity after many years.

THE WINE
The 'Nozze d'Oro' Contea di Sclafani by Tasca Conti d'Almerita is a seal of love between people and grape varieties. THE COMPANY

Our story is written in the land to which, for eight generations, we have reserved the attention and love that one dedicates to a family member. Our grandparents taught us to respect it with our eyes always looking to the future, and this vision still today allows us to have lush vineyards and cultivate rich and fertile land. Over the years, through a precise project to enhance native varieties and regions with a greater winemaking vocation, additional estates have been added to the historic Regaleali estate, including Capofaro in Salina in the Aeolian archipelago, Tascante on Etna, Whitaker in Mozia in the province of Trapani, and Sallier de La Tour in the Monreale DOC, each with its own story to write, each with a different Sicily to tell. Our greatest challenge now is to preserve these places to leave our children a better environment, with constant attention to the protection of each individual ecosystem.
THE PHILOSOPHY
We respect the land and its rhythms
We cultivate the vineyard in five different estates in Sicily – Regaleali, Capofaro, Tascante, Whitaker, and Sallier de La Tour – each with its own characteristics. Different soils and climates span the entire island, giving rise to a long harvest season that begins in mid-August and concludes between the end of October and the beginning of November. For generations, men and women have worked alongside us, helping us keep pace with the seasons. We tell the story of Sicily and its products also through a cooking school where the raw materials dictate the calendar. Alongside the vineyards, our fields grow olive trees, wheat, and almond trees, gardens, pastures, and orchards, each with its own time because in our world, nature is not in a hurry.
