The 2022 Pinotage Bianco from Aaldering Vineyards & Wines originates in Stellenbosch, the wine heart of South Africa. A result of the cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsaut, the Pinotage is vinified as a white wine here: the must remains in contact with the skins for only 15 minutes, giving a delicate copper hue and an elegant blush effect. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel with selected yeasts, preserving its aromatic freshness, while aging on the lees for 5 months, with frequent stirring, adds structure and depth. In the glass, it releases notes of peach, banana, and citrus, with a full, soft, and persistent sip. Excellent with grilled fish, shellfish, spicy dishes, and fresh cheeses. Limited production to only 3,000 bottles.

THE COMPANY
Aaldering Vineyards & Wines, founded in 2004 by the Dutch couple Marianne and Fons Aaldering, is located in Stellenbosch, one of the finest wine-growing areas, in the Cape Winelands district, Western Cape province, surrounded by the peace and tranquility of the vineyards and only 45 km from the city of Cape Town. The terroir is that of Devon Valley, particularly the areas of Hutton (characterized by granite-rich soil, brown-reddish in color due to the presence of iron oxide hydrate) and Clovelly (soil similar to Hutton but more clayey). This area is well known for the quality of red wines produced from grape varieties: Pinotage, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, the same cultivated by the winery. The wines are produced with great care and passion, with the assistance of a reliable and devoted staff. Elements of both organic and biodynamic agriculture are used, preferring organic products and trying to minimize chemical ones as much as possible, making the most of what nature has to offer.
