The Mandrolisai DOC “Memorias Creccherie” 2023 from the CRU line by Fradiles originates in the heart of the Mandrolisai area, on granite soils rich in sand and rocky decomposition, at over 700 meters above sea level. The blend of Cannonau, Bovale Sardo (Muristellu) and Monica enhances the mountain identity of the territory. The 2023 vintage, warm and breezy with significant temperature swings, ensured balanced ripening and healthy grapes. Vinification includes fermentation in stainless steel, aging for 3 months in steel and 12/14 months in 500-liter barrels, followed by 4 months in bottle. On the palate, ripe red fruit notes, Mediterranean spices, hints of scrub and light balsamic nuances emerge, with harmonious structure, fine tannins and a persistent, mineral finish.

Cantina Fradiles

We are in Mandrolisai, a historic region of Sardinia and a land renowned for its viticultural excellence. A place of ancient charm, where the horizon opens onto lush pastures, mountains of chestnut and oak trees, hills of holm oak and holly, and above all century-old vineyards that have shaped the landscape for generations. It is here that the authentic identity of Sardinian viticulture is born.
Paolo Savoldo, the driving force behind Cantina Fradiles, together with his cousin Antonio and their family, manages 10 hectares of vineyards situated between 500 and 700 meters above sea level. The historic core of 6 hectares surrounds the winery and preserves vines aged 80 and 100 years, a precious heritage handed down through time. From these deep roots emerges the unmistakable Fradiles style: a coherent and recognizable family of wines capable of telling stories, traditions, and emotions through every bottle.
The wines of Mandrolisai are fragrant, structured, and noble. Production is focused on the highest quality, balancing tradition with technological innovation, artisanal care, and meticulous attention to detail. Long, sun-drenched summers, a dry climate, and marked temperature variations between day and night — enhanced by the surrounding mountains — imprint an intense and distinctive aromatic profile in the grapes. The decomposed granite and schist soils confer minerality and depth, making the territory particularly suited to the cultivation of Cannonau and native grape varieties.
Climate, soil, and geographical position give rise to wines with unique characteristics, capable of expressing differences even from vineyard to vineyard: this is how the CRU of Mandrolisai are born, authentic expressions of unrepeatable micro-terroirs. This gift of nature, combined with a winemaking culture passed down from father to son, allows the production of elegant, distinctive wines deeply rooted in their territory.
On Vino45, discover the labels of Cantina Fradiles, true excellences of high-quality Sardinian wine, perfect for those seeking authenticity, character, and a genuine connection to the land of Mandrolisai.
Color: Deep, bright ruby red with violet highlights, showing youth and concentration, clear and consistent.
Nose: Clean aromas of ripe red fruits, including cherry and plum, layered with Mediterranean spices, hints of wild herbs and light balsamic nuances over a subtle mineral background.
Palate: Harmonious and well-balanced structure, with fine, integrated tannins; the palate is enveloping, supported by lively acidity and leading to a persistent, savory and mineral finish.
