The Barbera d'Alba by Massolino is made exclusively from Barbera grapes, grown in the hilly vineyards of the Langhe at about 300 m s.l.m., on calcareous-clay soils that promote the right balance between structure and acidity. The harvest is manual, with careful selection of the clusters at the right degree of ripeness. This is followed by spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature, with a maceration of about 10-12 days to best extract varietal aromas, color, and silky tannins. After racking, the wine remains for several months in steel tanks, aging on the fine lees with periodic bâtonnage to enhance its roundness and aromatic complexity. No passage in wood, to maintain the intact fruit freshness, with notes of cherry, plum, and spices. An elegant and authentic red, perfect to enjoy young.

Massolino

In the picturesque setting of Serralunga d'Alba, the vibrant heart of enological Piedmont, the Massolino winery stands as a bastion of classic Barolo. Founded in 1896, this winery has built its reputation on an uncompromising dedication to tradition and excellence. In a region where the morning fog gently caresses the rows of vines, Massolino lovingly and rigorously cultivates the native varieties of Nebbiolo and Dolcetto, respecting the natural rhythm of the seasons and the vocation of the terroir.
The Barolo Margheria is the flagship of the production, a wine embodying the austerity and longevity typical of Serralunga. With its deep and complex character, this Barolo fascinates with its aromas of rose petals, ripe cherries, and earthy notes, evolving into tones of sweet spices and cocoa over the years. Each sip tells a story of patience and mastery, reflecting the very essence of this generous land.
Let yourself be seduced by the wines of Massolino available on Vino45: an invitation to discover the authentic spirit of Serralunga Barolo, where tradition and passion merge into an unparalleled enological experience.
