THE COMPANY
The story of the winery Massolino It started in 1896, the year in which Giovanni founded the company in Serralunga d'Alba. However, the first real cellar was built by Giuseppe, Giovanni's son, who, together with his sister Angela, expanded the property by annexing other land and in 1934 founded the Protection Consortium. Barolo and Barbaresco. Giovanni, Camilla, and Renato, three of Giuseppe's children, take the company to a turning point, thanks to the purchase of crus that have now become true legends among enthusiasts: Vigna Rionda, Margheria, and Parafada.
Today, the company is led by the brothers. Franco and Roberto Massolino, assisted by Uncle Renato and Giovanni Angeli. Their work condenses the experience of an entire generation and the ambition of those who know they must pay tribute to a historic winery and a unique terroir, that of Serralunga d'Alba. In this picturesque medieval village, located on one of the beautiful hills of the Langhe, in the heart of the production area of Barolo, The life of the cellar comes to life.
