The 'Krafuss' is a flagship of Alois Lageder. It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes sourced from vines with an average age of about 21 years, located at an altitude between 430 and 450 meters above sea level near the Maso Krafuss. The aging process lasts about 12 months and takes place in French oak barrels. It has an intense bouquet of red fruits, including raspberry and blackberry, dark spices like pepper, and flint notes that highlight the mineral aspect. The taste is intense in aroma and personality, but with a velvety body and medium structure. It is a great classic.

THE WINE
The 'Krafuss' is a flagship of Alois Lageder. It is composed of 100% Pinot Noir grapes from vines with an average age of about 21 years, located at an altitude between 430 and 450 meters above sea level near the Maso Krafuss. The aging lasts about 12 months and takes place in French oak barrels. Intense bouquet of red fruits, including raspberry and blackberry, with dark spice such as pepper and notes of flint to emphasize the mineral trait. Intense taste for aromas and personality, but with a velvety body and medium structure. It is a great classic.
THE COMPANY

A true synonym of excellence, Alois Lageder over the years has shown the best that Alto Adige is capable of expressing in terms of personality, elegance, and territorial adherence. A result born from a clear vision of their work, where every activity is closely linked to the others in a virtuous circle that found fulfillment in the conversion of their vineyards to biodynamic practices.
Founded in 1823 and now in its sixth generation, the company stands out for its ability to blend tradition and innovation: “quality is always the result of many details, sometimes even minimal - recalls Alois Lageder - and in all stages of processing we first try to find harmony among all the factors involved, working in harmony with nature.” It is no coincidence that each wine is able, like few others in the region, to tell the always different characteristics of its vineyard of origin - Alto Adige is indeed a land extremely rich in the variety of soils, microclimatic zones, and exposures, which therefore offers ideal conditions for producing wines with marked individuality. The grapes harvested in the family's vineyards, about 50 hectares between Magrè, Cortaccia, Termeno, and in the area of the lake of Caldaro, are cultivated using certified organic and biodynamic methods by Demeter. Not only that, in addition to managing their own vineyards, the company collaborates with a number of trusted winegrowers from various areas of Alto Adige, vineyards that collectively extend for another 110 hectares, of which about a quarter is cultivated according to the principles of biodynamics.
It is from this extraordinary context that wines are born which are true ambassadors of the territory, whites and reds of great charm that make up an assortment composed of three levels of quality: the Classics, the Terroir Selections, the Masi.
