Barbera d'Alba DOC 'Tre Vigne' 2021 (750 ml.) Vietti

The Barbera d’Alba 'Tre Vigne' by Vietti is produced from grapes sourced from vineyards located in Castiglione Falletto, Monforte d’Alba, La Morra, and other towns in the Langhe region. The age of the vines ranges from 28 to 43 years. The average density per hectare is about 4500 vines per hectare with Guyot training. The soil is calcareous-clay. The alcoholic fermentation lasts about 2 weeks and is carried out in steel. The malolactic fermentation also takes place in steel. The aging is a mix of barrels, barriques, and steel for about a year. Aroma of ripe cherries and vanilla. Notes of violet and a rounder structure compared to Barbera d’Asti Tre Vigne. Bright acidity and sweet tannins on the palate with a balanced presence of wood. Good complexity and a persistent cherry finish.
