Pommard by Domaine Michel & Marc Rossignol is a red produced in the Côte de Beaune, in the municipality of Volnay, in Burgundy from 60-year-old vineyards. Cultivation without the use of chemical herbicides and manual harvesting. The wine is aged in oak barrels for 18 months. Pommard, renowned for being a powerful and tannic wine, is also a wine rich in sensitivity. It has a fine nose that develops aromas of blackberries, blueberries and redcurrants, followed by notes of leather and spices. On the palate, the attack is frank and offers a generous structure. When young it is a rather closed wine, which is why it is recommended to let it age at least 5 years before tasting it. As it ages, Pommard develops wilder and shifts towards notes of chocolate and pepper. Produced 1,500 bt/year.
