The Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs 'Blanc de Ventuil' by Maurice Grumier expresses the experience of 4 generations of winemakers. It is a brut sans année, the Champagne term for a non-vintage sparkling wine, 100% Chardonnay that rests for 4 years on the lees. It is a luxurious Blanc de Blancs with crisp and concentrated aromas of pear, toasted brioche, crushed limestone, and vanilla pastry cream. On the palate, a creamy and luxurious mousse is accompanied by a pronounced acidity and beautiful flavors of freshly grated yuzu, roasted almonds, brioche, green apple, and white tea. A long and opulent finish ends on notes of tree fruits and flowers. Only 3,993 bottles produced.

Maurice Grumier

In the picturesque Vallée de la Marne, where the land seems to breathe with the rhythm of the seasons, lies the Maurice Grumier winery. Here, among vineyards kissed by the sun and caressed by gentle breezes, the savoir-faire of an independent winemaker comes to life through the art of biodynamics. Maurice Grumier is not just a name, but a symbol of dedication to the terroir and the tradition of RM Champagne, a designation that represents the authenticity and passion of those who cultivate and vinify with heart.
The vines of Grumier are a mosaic of fine grapes: the vigorous Pinot Meunier, the noble Pinot Noir, and the elegant Chardonnay. These varieties, tended with respect and love, give life to cuvées that embody the elegance and personality of the region. Each bottle is a tale of balance and refinement, an invitation to explore the aromatic depths that only such a rich terroir can offer.
The flagship of the production is the Champagne Brut Rosé, a symphony of flavors that dances on the palate with the lightness of a dream. Floral and fruity notes intertwine in an enveloping embrace, revealing the soul of a generous land and a timeless tradition.

THE WINE
The Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs 'Blanc de Ventuil' by Maurice Grumier expresses the experience of 4 generations of winemakers. It is a brut sans année, the Champagne term for a non-vintage sparkling wine, 100% Chardonnay that rests 4 years on the lees. It is a luxurious Blanc de Blancs with crisp and concentrated aromas of pear, toasted brioche, crushed limestone, and vanilla pastry cream. On the palate, a creamy and luxurious mousse is accompanied by a pronounced acidity and lovely flavors of freshly grated yuzu, baked almonds, brioche, green apple, and white tea. THE HOUSE

The Grumier family has been cultivating their vineyards since 1743 and has been processing their grapes since 1928, although the brand was “founded” only in 1945. The Maison is located in Venteuil, on the right bank of the Marne, a few kilometers from Epernay. The 8.5 hectares of land, scattered across different villages in the area (Venteuil, Reuil, and Festigny, among others), allow Fabien, the current manager of the estate, to work with different varieties (although Pinot Meunier, 55%, is the dominant grape) and original terroirs. The attention to agricultural practices (certification: haute valeur environnementale) and winemaking that aims to support the expressiveness of the vineyards is reflected in the glass, offering drinkers straightforward, fresh, and drinkable wines. The production is around 70,000 bottles.
