The Chassagne-Montrachet AOC Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes 2022 from Domaine Jouard Gabriel & Paul comes from old vines that add complexity and elegance. The 2022 vintage, marked by a hot, bright summer balanced by timely rains, produced grapes of great concentration, combining richness with mineral freshness. After manual harvest, fermentation occurs in French oak barriques, followed by about 12 months on fine lees, giving creaminess, structure, and aromatic depth. Brilliant golden color, an intense bouquet of white flowers, brioche, and candied lemon, later evolving into roasted hazelnut and delicate spices. The palate is broad, precise, balanced, with a long finish of floral and gingerbread notes. Perfect with shellfish, noble fish, white meats, creamy cheeses.

Jouard Gabriel & Paul

n the renowned Côte de Beaune, at the very heart of Burgundy, the Jouard family has been cultivating vines for over two centuries. Today, Gabriel and Paul carry on this legacy with precision and sensitivity, leading a domaine that stands as one of the most authentic voices of Chassagne-Montrachet. Their philosophy is clear yet ambitious: to express each climat with faithful precision, treating every parcel as a unique microcosm of identity, history, and minerality.
The Jouard Chardonnays are celebrated for elegance and depth. Premier Crus such as Les Chenevottes, Les Fairendes, and Morgeot reveal distinct personalities, all united by freshness, balance, and the ability to age gracefully. In the glass, these wines display delicate aromas of white flowers, citrus, and flint, followed by generous yet taut palates, carried by a vibrant minerality that ensures both longevity and complexity. Vinification follows the Burgundian tradition: spontaneous fermentations, barrel aging with carefully measured oak, and meticulous attention to detail.
Alongside these exceptional whites, the domaine also crafts Pinot Noir of remarkable finesse, defined by pure fruit expression and silky tannins. Produced in small volumes, these reds offer an intimate and refined interpretation of Burgundy.
Jouard Gabriel & Paul is a name to know and to collect, ideal for those seeking wines that tell the story of terroir with authenticity and stylistic precision. A journey of taste that bridges tradition and modernity, heritage and future, with Vino45 as a reference point to discover and enjoy these unique bottles.
