The Ribolla Gialla 'Rebula Artwork' by Kristancic originates in Slovenia, in the village of Medana on the border of the Collio Friulano. It is a dry, young, and fresh wine, rich on the palate, harmonious and with the right level of acidity. It presents a beautiful color of ancient gold with coppery reflections, with a full and oily body. The bouquet is rich, reminiscent of summer scents, balsamic, with a hint of exotic spices, especially vanilla, cinnamon, and sweet caramel. On the palate, it is powerful, explosive, warm, very mineral (savory), in perfect harmony of alcohol and acidity, with a spicy note in a long aftertaste. Here, cooked and dried fruits, vanilla, roasted hazelnuts, and other nuts are noticeable, and above all, facets that bring new experiences with each sip. It pairs well with dishes that have intense and bold flavors, even spicy ones.

Kristancic

In the picturesque landscape of Brda, where the Slovenian hills embrace the Italian border, the story of a winery that transformed its destiny with courage and vision begins. The current Kristančič winery has its roots in a family agricultural reality that once dedicated itself to viticulture, fruit cultivation, and livestock farming. But it was with Dušan Kristančič, an enterprising soul and bold dreamer, that this tradition took a revolutionary turn.
In the 1980s, Dušan decided to make a decisive turn: the Kristančič brand was born, accompanied by the construction of the winery where, since then, great wines and even greater ideas have matured. His innovative spirit led him to join forces with five other local producers to create the Brajda project – which in the Medana dialect means "vineyard." More than just an association, Brajda is a shared vision: to transform Brda into a territory dedicated to exceptional viticulture, valuing each individual bottle as an ambassador of a unique landscape.
The dream took shape in 1989, with the first historic bottling. The following year, the bottles donned the unmistakable symbol of the peacock, emblem of beauty and pride. In 1991, this identity was consecrated with the prestigious Cordon d’Excellence, marking Kristančič's official entry among the great names of European wine.
Today, every Kristančič creation tells the passion of a family and the identity of a unique territory, where tradition merges with the courage to dare.
Vino45 is proud to offer its customers Kristančič wines, to provide sensory experiences that speak of authenticity, vision, and respect for the land. A glass of Brda, enclosed in an iconic bottle.

THE WINE
The Ribolla Gialla 'Rebula Artwork' by Kristancic originates in Slovenia, in the village of Medana near the border of Collio Friulano. It is a dry, young, and fresh wine, rich on the palate, harmonious, and with the right level of acidity. It presents itself with a beautiful color of ancient gold with copper reflections, with a full and oily body. Here, cooked and dried fruits, vanilla, roasted hazelnuts, and other nuts are noticeable, and above all, nuances that bring new experiences with every sip. It pairs well with dishes that have intense and bold flavors, including spicy ones.
THE COMPANY

The family-run agricultural company, which initially focused on viticulture, fruit growing, and animal husbandry, was taken over by Dušan, who soon gave it a new identity, concentrating mainly on viticulture and wine production. Driven by determination and courage, in the 1980s he decided to create his own brand, that of Kristančič wines, and to add to the property a winery where great wines and bold ideas would mature from then on. One of those ideas united Dušan and five other winemakers from Medana in an association named Brajda (which in the local dialect means "vineyard"). Brajda was not just an association, but a vision to make the Brda area what it is today – a unique place whose economic activity focuses on viticulture and the production of high-quality wines. The idea began to take a clear form when, in 1989, the wine was bottled for the first time. The following year, the bottles took on the now-characteristic image with the symbol of the peacock, and in 1991, the label was awarded the prestigious Cordon D'Excellence.
