Régnard

Founded in 1860 by Zephir Regnard, the eponymous Maison Regnard is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Burgundy, a name that today represents an icon for Chablis lovers worldwide. Since 1984, it has been under the guidance of the De Ladoucette family, who have preserved its stylistic heritage while enriching it with new skills and a vision always oriented towards quality.
Located in the beautiful Mâconnais region, in the extreme south of Burgundy, Regnard has selected vineyards and historic crus from which wines of extraordinary finesse and complexity are born. Among its labels, the great Chablis stand out, true masterpieces of French winemaking, capable of expressing the unique characteristics of the limestone soils of this area.
The Maison also produces excellent labels under the Pouilly-Fuissé denomination, where the operational heart of the company is located: the historic Clos du Pavillon, a building dating back to the 18th century, carefully restored thanks to the intervention of Baron Patrick de Ladoucette. The cellar has undergone a profound renovation, which has combined tradition and innovation in perfect balance.
Every phase of the work, from the vineyard to the bottle, is aimed at maximum respect for the environment and the identity of the territory. The grapes are cultivated with great care and vinified by individual crus, in order to enhance every aromatic nuance and maximize the expression of the terroir.
The wines of Regnard, aged in wood with calibrated times and traditional methods, stand out for their elegance, structure, and aromatic richness. They are wines designed to surprise, to evolve over time, and to authentically tell the noble story of Burgundy.

THE WINE
The Chablis 'Grand Régnard' by Régnard is among the best products of the house. It is a white wine from Burgundy made with 100% Chardonnay grapes, very fine and elegant, obtained from a rigorous selection of Chardonnay grapes from the best plots in their owned Crus, all located in the municipality of Chablis. The bouquet expresses intense fruity and floral notes, such as Granny Smith apple and apricot, followed by herbaceous and mineral tones. On the palate, it is savory, full-bodied, harmonious, and very long. It pairs excellently with fish dishes, white meats, and vegetables.
THE COMPANY
The house Albert Pic & Fils was founded in 1755 and has been producing white wines of great territorial expressiveness for many years. The house is located in the Chablis region, northwest of Burgundy, and was recently purchased by Baron Patrick de Ladoucette. The goal of the house is to capture every precious nuance of Chardonnay and translate it into a unique and exclusive Chablis. This wonderful expression of Chardonnay is made possible by the favorable location of the owned vineyards, situated in the most suitable areas for cultivating this variety. The cultivation practices adopted by the house Albert Pic & Fils are entirely focused on environmental respect and care, just as the winemaking techniques and phases are aimed at preserving the fruit and its terroir intact. To this end, only steel and concrete tanks are used in the cellar, completely forgoing the use of wooden barrels.
