THE WINERY

In the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, a wild and sunny land that has always enchanted travelers and connoisseurs, Rocca di Frassinello is born, one of the most fascinating realities in the Italian wine scene. Here, two great traditions meet: the Tuscan tradition of Sangioveto and the French tradition brought by Domaines Barons de Rothschild-Lafite, in partnership with Castellare di Castellina. The result is a unique project that blends style and experience in bottles capable of expressing both international elegance and a Mediterranean soul.
The winery, designed by architect Renzo Piano, is a masterpiece of functional design and scenic beauty: pure lines, essential geometries, a harmony that dialogues with the surrounding hills. Below the surface, the spectacular underground barrel cellar opens like a true cathedral, a silent guardian of wines resting in the dark, waiting to tell stories.
In the 90 hectares of vineyards, native and international varieties coexist: Sangioveto, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Shiraz. From this richness come iconic labels. Rocca di Frassinello, the symbolic wine, combines structure, finesse, and longevity. Le Sughere di Frassinello represents daily balance and pleasure, while Baffonero, pure Merlot, is considered one of the most intense and prestigious reds of the entire Maremma. Completing the range, Poggio alla Guardia, immediate and fresh, is perfect as an introduction to the estate's style.
Each bottle is the result of meticulous work, where viticultural excellence meets the art of blending and maniacal attention to every detail. Choosing Rocca di Frassinello means bringing to the table the perfect synthesis of power and refinement, roots and vision.
