Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 'Tenuta Greppo' 2019 (750 ml.) Biondi Santi

The Brunello di Montalcino DOCG “Tenuta Greppo” 2019 by Biondi Santi is an icon of winemaking tradition, crafted from pure Sangiovese Grosso “BBS11” sourced from historic 15-30 year-old vineyards and hand-harvested. Vinification in cement vats with spontaneous fermentations is followed by 36 months of aging in Slavonian oak casksand extended bottle maturation. Initially reserved, it unfolds into aromas of red cherry, citrus peel, white pepper, dried tobacco leaf, licorice root and aromatic herbs, with subtle balsamic notes. On the palate, the fragrant and harmoniousfruit core is supported by fine tannins and refreshing acidity, leading to a savory, long and enveloping finish with hints of thyme and rosemary. Perfect with game, roasts and aged cheeses, it offers an aging potential of 20-40 years.
