Gianni Masciarelli Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC is crafted from a selection of 100% Montepulciano grapes grown in the hillside vineyards of Loreto Aprutino (250 m a.s.l.) on clay-limestone soils. Trained with Abruzzo pergola and Guyot systems, the vines yield just 90 quintals per hectare, ensuring concentration and elegance. Fermentation and a 15–20 day maceration take place in stainless steel, followed by aging in steel tanks to preserve the wine’s freshness and varietal purity. Bright ruby red in color, it offers an intense bouquet of cherry, blackcurrant, violet, and tobacco. On the palate, it shows remarkable balance, freshness, and versatility, pairing beautifully with traditional Italian cuisine(roasts, cured meats, cheeses) as well as exotic dishes like goulash and Cantonese duck. An authentic red with a true Masciarelli signature.

Masciarelli Tenute Agricole
Masciarelli Tenute Agricole is synonymous with excellence in Abruzzese vitivinicola. Founded in 1981 by Gianni Masciarelli, a charismatic and visionary figure, the company has revolutionized the way of understanding wine in Abruzzo, bringing Montepulciano and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo to international stages. With over 60 plots of vines distributed in the four provinces of Abruzzo, Masciarelli cultivates a profound bond with his own land, valuing the pedoclimatiche peculiarities to enhance the character of each single vine.
Le sue sette linee – da Villa Gemma all'elegante Marina Cvetic – tells the story of an Abruzzo made of hills, mountains and sea breezes, where tradition, innovation and sustainability coexist harmoniously. The beating heart of the company is San Martino sulla Marrucina (CH), but the Castello di Semivicoli, today a relais of charm, represents the refined side of Abruzzo wine tourism.
Each bottle of Masciarelli is a tribute to the biodiversity of the "Green Region of Europe" and today you can discover it also on Vino45, an exclusive selection of great Italian wines. Per chi cerca autenticità, eleganza e una storia da bere.

Colore: rosso rubino brillante e intenso, con sfumature violacee nei bordi che testiano la sua joovinezza e vitalità. The good consistency in the calyx reveals an equilibrated structure.
Bouquet: intenso, fresco e articolato. Emergono subito profumi di ciliegia matura e ribes nero, seguiti da delicate floral note di violetta. Un speziato sottofondo, con cenni di tabacco dolce and un tocco lightly balsamic, adds complexity and depth.
Gusto: fresco, harmonico e piacevolmente fruttato. The tannins are well integrated and levigati, the structure is medium but well balanced, with a persistent finale that recalls the fruity sensations perceived to the nose. L'affinamento in acciaio preserves the vivacity of the fruit, making it extremely versatile in combinations.
