Sicilian Lands Frappato IGT 'Junco' by Pellegrino is an elegant and identity-driven red wine, produced from 100% Frappato grapes grown in a single plot of 2.5 hectares at the Tenuta Gazzerotta in Mazara del Vallo. The name refers to the reeds that surround a small lake near the vineyard, planted in mineral-rich clay soils. After the September harvest, the grapes are vinified in red with slow fermentation at low temperature and gentle skin maceration. The wine ages for 4 months in steel to preserve freshness and typicity. In appearance, it presents a light garnet red; on the nose, it releases intense aromas of raspberry, wild strawberry, rose, and violet. On the palate, it is smooth and harmonious, with delicate tannins, good freshness and savoriness. A versatile and contemporary wine, ideal with cured meats, cheeses, light meats, and strong-flavored fish such as tuna or swordfish.

Address:
Via del Fante, 39, 91025 Marsala (TP), Italy
Color: Bright light ruby red, typical of pure Frappato, with slight purple hues on the edges that testify to its youth.
Bouquet: Fragrant and inviting. It opens with notes of crunchy red fruits like cherry, pomegranate, and raspberry, accompanied by hints of geranium and wild rose. Citrus notes and a slight spiciness of white pepper also emerge, enriching its complexity without overwhelming it.
Taste: Fresh, slender, and juicy, with a very fine and barely perceptible tannic structure. The pronounced acidity gives it dynamism and elongates the sip, which finishes with fruity and balsamic memories. It is a nimble wine, with great drinkability, perfect to accompany light dishes or to be enjoyed slightly chilled.
