A small production of the highest quality that originates in Barbaresco, in the Cru Rio Sordo. The grapes from this Cru are coveted because they give the wines an unmistakable balsamic character, with great personality. In this Riserva, the winery aimed to create a wine that enhances the aristocratic elegance of Nebbiolo through a longer stay in small oak barrels to achieve a harmoniously perfect balance. Intense, complex bouquet with spicy hints. On the palate, it is warm and soft, with a good body, very persistent and harmonious.

THE COMPANY

The agricultural company Cascina Bruciata, active since the early 1880s, is located in Barbaresco, in the Rio Sordo area. The company was purchased around 1880 by Giovanni Balbo when, following an arson fire, the then-owner decided to sell. Around the 1950s, the company took on an exclusively viticultural connotation, but realized its potential with Carlo Balbo, who, in the early 2000s, decided to produce and market wine. In 2016, it was acquired by the Abbona family, maintaining its full autonomy and identity.
