M. Chapoutier

In the heart of the majestic Rhône Valley in France, stands the M. Chapoutier winery, a beacon of oenological excellence that illuminates the global wine landscape. For generations, this winery has embodied the soul and history of the region, expertly cultivating the ancient lands of Hermitage and Côte Rôtie. Here, tradition intertwines with innovation, guided by a production philosophy that wholeheartedly embraces the principles of biodynamics.
The vineyards of M. Chapoutier stretch across precious terroirs, where Syrah, Grenache, and Marsanne find their most authentic expression. These varieties, tended with dedication and respect for the environment, give rise to wines that are a living tribute to the richness of the Rhône territory. Each bottle is a sensory journey that transports the taster among sun-kissed hills and the unmistakable scents of the Mediterranean scrubland.
Among the most famous labels, Hermitage La Chapelle stands as a monument of complexity and refinement. This wine, known for its impressive structure and aromatic depth, is a true oenological masterpiece that tells stories of past vintages and promises of future evolutions. The aromas of ripe fruit, spices, and mineral notes combine in perfect balance, making each taste an unforgettable experience.
We invite enthusiasts and the curious to discover the extraordinary creations of M. Chapoutier on Vino45: a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the timeless elegance of the Rhône Valley and be seduced by one of the most prestigious names in the French wine scene.

THE COMPANY
As early as 1808, a distant ancestor of the Chapoutier family began purchasing the first vineyards in the Rhône Valley. Today, Michel, who has always been passionate about wine and later became self-taught, leads the company with a biodynamic philosophy, striving to respect his land in order to enhance it and bring it directly to the glass. His strength of spirit and conviction have led him to "export" this philosophy to other continents. Michel indeed produces wine in Australia and the United States, but has also purchased vineyards in Alsace and Portugal. However, the call of home has always been strong, and thanks to the flourishing activity of a "negociant," he has been able to invest many resources in the development of the family Domaine in the Rhône Valley.
