'Alzero' by Giuseppe Quintarelli is one of the best red wines in Italy and the world, a masterpiece from the Negrar area in Veneto made from Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot grapes. The name of this full-bodied red comes from a small plot of land next to the estate that was once overlooked and then enhanced to create a true excellence in Venetian and Italian winemaking. The cultivation of the vines takes place on the first hills at about 350 meters above sea level, where the basaltic limestone soil and the west-facing exposure of the vineyards impart the wine's organoleptic characteristics. The aging process occurs in 2 phases and lasts a full 60 months in French and Slavonian oak barrels.
