Sanger

In the heart of the prestigious Champagne region in France, there is a unique winery: Sanger. This is not just any winery, but the wine production of the renowned viticulture school of Avize. Here, the passion for bubbles meets educational innovation, creating a place where the art of winemaking transforms into a subject of study and excellence.
The terroir of Champagne, with its chalky soils and temperate climate, is the ideal habitat for the noble grapes of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. These varieties, cultivated with care and dedication, are the foundation of the cuvées produced by Sanger. In this educational and productive context, students learn the secrets of oenology, working side by side with expert winemakers, in a constant exchange between tradition and innovation.
The crown jewel of the production is the Cuvée des Élèves, a wine that embodies educational excellence and true Champagne quality. With its elegance and complexity, each sip tells a story of passion and expertise, a celebration of French savoir-faire that is renewed from generation to generation.
We invite sparkling wine enthusiasts to discover on Vino45 the magic of the Sanger winery. Here, Champagne is not just a wine, but an educational experience that delights the senses and enriches the soul.

THE WINE

Hand-picked, fermented in steel, and with the addition of 30% reserve wines, bottled 10 months after harvest without filtration. Great freshness and sapidity with pleasant saline notes highlighting a marked minerality. Balanced and harmonious.
THE HOUSE

The Champagne house Sanger was founded in 1952 by the will of 16 winemakers, mostly from the Montagne de Reims, eager to enhance the components of the Champagne terroir and who decided to establish the house Sanger in Avize. Sanger spans 13 hectares spread over 42 crus that represent the entire Champagne denomination, allowing the winery to offer an exceptional tasting journey through Champagne. With 70% of the supplies in Grand Cru Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, elegance, finesse, and character from their best vintages are combined.
The reserve wines of this winery, isolated by vintage and grape variety, are selected for their aging potential, supporting the various products of the winery over time, giving consistency to the unique and well-defined style of the house. To offer mature vintages, respecting their origins and purity, the house dedicates great attention and patience to the raw material: from the fruit of the vine to the wood from the Avize forest. "To offer a range of products that reconcile tradition and modernity, it is essential to know where we come from to better understand where we are going." Nicolas Robert, cellar master.
The grapes selected by Sanger are the result of great attention to the environment and production quality: minimal if not absent use of chemicals, meticulous control of the vineyard and clusters, organic fertilization, maximum cleanliness in every production process. Physical and mechanical processes are ensured and optimized by patience in processes and mastery of time with long aging (on lees), guaranteeing respect for the origins and the historical rules of Champagne.
