Beaumont des Crayères

In the heart of the French region of Champagne, where the green hills blend harmoniously with the sky, lies the Beaumont des Crayères winery. Here, in the land where bubbles reign supreme, a cooperative of winemakers has chosen to join forces to create Champagne of rare elegance. With particular attention to Pinot Meunier, a variety often underestimated but capable of offering surprising aromatic nuances, Beaumont des Crayères stands out for its ability to blend tradition and innovation in every bottle produced.
The philosophy of the winery is rooted in a deep respect for the terroir, which is enhanced through careful and environmentally friendly viticultural practices. The vineyards, caressed by a unique climate, benefit from a chalky soil that gives the wines freshness and minerality. Alongside Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay also plays a fundamental role, providing elegance and structure to the maison's cuvées.
Among the standout labels, Fleur de Meunier rises as an ode to the variety that best represents Beaumont des Crayères. This Champagne, characterized by floral and fruity notes, offers a complex and enveloping bouquet, capable of transporting those who savor it on a sensory journey through the magic of the Champagne lands.
Let yourself be seduced by the refinement and history contained in every glass of Beaumont des Crayères. Discover on Vino45 the selection of Champagne from this cooperative and experience the emotion of a French excellence that speaks to the heart and senses.

THE HOUSE

Located in the heart of the Champagne region, in Mardeuil, near Epernay, the Maison Beaumont des Crayères was founded in 1955 and currently groups a significant number of growers (250) for a total of 90 hectares of vineyards located in Epernay and the surrounding areas of Cumières, Hautvillers, and Dizy, in Trépail or Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Oger.
The name Beaumont des Crayères comes from "Beaumont", the name of one of the best slopes in Mardeuil where the main vineyards of the company grow, and "crayères", which refers to the composition of the rock found in the best crus of Champagne, namely gypsum. The name was chosen for this reason, for the great pride and attachment to this terroir, an attachment represented by the rose at the center of the company's logo.
Three main grape varieties are cultivated for champagne production: Chardonnay (25%) which provides freshness and finesse; Pinot Noir (15%) which gives structure and body; and Pinot Meunier (60%) which imparts aromatic sweetness and roundness to the wines.
The vinifications: are carried out separately, meaning that each variety is vinified in separate tanks, and the different pressings come from various selections of bunches from different parts of the vineyard. This separate vinification is key to the quality of the champagnes from this Maison; it allows for a rational oenology to be applied to each cuvée, and at the time of blending, it will offer a wide range of wines.
For the prestigious cuvée Nostalgie, a portion of the wines ages in wood.
