THE HOUSE

The Lelarge family has a long relationship with the Champagne region (18th century) and in particular with the terroirs of Vrigny, a production enclave just a few kilometers from Reims. In 1987, Dominique Lelarge took control of the family Maison and, by marrying Dominique Pugeot, changed the company name to Lelarge Pugeot. Currently, the company owns about 9 hectares in the municipalities of Vrigny, Gueux, and Coulommes-la-Montagne. This area, dominated ampelographically by Pinot Meunier (80% of the plantings), was classified as Premier Cru in 2003. The Lelarge family has been focused on sustainability since the late 1980s and obtained Organic certification in 2010; at the end of 2012, the conversion to Biodynamic agriculture began.
