The Tuscany IGT Gorgona Bianco di Frescobaldi is an extraordinary and symbolic wine, born on the prison island of Gorgona from a social project that combines rehabilitation and excellent viticulture. Produced in very limited quantities, it is made from Vermentino (70%) and Ansonica (30%), grown on terraces overlooking the sea in an unspoiled environment with sustainable agricultural practices. After hand harvesting, it ferments in stainless steel and ages in used oak barrels, preserving its freshness. It presents a bright golden yellow color, with aromas of mediterranean scrub, citrus, white flowers, and saline notes. The taste is tense, savory, and harmonious, a faithful reflection of the island. Perfect with raw seafood, shellfish, amberjack tartare, and fish pasta dishes.

It is one of the oldest wine families in Italy, with roots that dig deep into a past rich in tradition and innovation. With a presence that embraces the most prestigious denominations of Tuscany, such as DOCG Chianti, Brunello, and Bolgheri, Frescobaldi stands out for a modern approach that never forgets to respect the history and the terroir that surrounds it.
The estates of Frescobaldi are a mosaic of winemaking excellence, where each vineyard is nurtured with dedication and love for the land. Here, under the warm Tuscan sun, Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are born, each an expression of a unique territory and unparalleled savoir-faire. The production philosophy of Frescobaldi is a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, where ancient wisdom blends with the most modern winemaking techniques to create wines with distinctive and unmistakable character.

Color: Bright straw yellow with golden reflections, expressing its island origin and well-calibrated maturation. The color, bright and crystalline, suggests a fresh wine with good concentration.
Bouquet: The aromatic profile is intense and complex. It opens with citrus notes of cedar and lemon zest, followed by floral hints of broom and chamomile. Then, Mediterranean nuances of aromatic herbs like thyme and sage emerge, with iodine and mineral hints that evoke the proximity to the sea. The evolution on the nose is continuous, with delicate nuances of yellow-fleshed fruit and light reminders of dried fruit.
Taste: Engaging, fresh, and savory, with an elegant texture and a strong marine imprint. The citrus freshness is well balanced by a creamy roundness, while the persistence is long, with a salty and vibrant finish that recalls the sea breezes and the unspoiled nature of the Island of Gorgona. The structure is refined but capable of expressing character and depth.
