Vermentino Territoriale by Lupi is a Riviera Ligure di Ponente, pure Vermentino. In 1961 Tommaso Lupi and a few other pioneers of Ligurian viticulture began, first in Liguria, to bottle, label and market Pigato and Vermentino. Having identified the most suitable area for Vermentino, the hills overlooking the sea of Imperia, Tommaso began the cultivation and vinification of Vermentino Lupi, thus contributing to the foundation of the DOC. Fermentation in steel tanks and aging 4 months in steel tanks to preserve its freshness, followed by 2 months in the bottle. Delicate white with hints of white flowers, notes of Mediterranean herbs and exotic fruit. Soft and intense, decisive and defined, with good acidity and a persistent finish. Excellent paired with traditional Ligurian dishes, fish, white meats and vegetables.

Lupi
There are those who drink wine, and those who make it a life mission. This is the case of Tommaso Lupi, who at just 24 years old turned a vision into reality, purchasing a fascinating 14th-century building to make it the beating heart of a modern winery, at the forefront of the vinification of Ligurian excellence. A courageous and far-sighted project, born from an authentic passion for the territory and the desire to rewrite the rules of the Riviera's white wine.
Lupi's intuition marked a turning point: he was the first to believe in the evolutionary potential of Pigato, elevating it from a ready-to-drink wine to a great white wine for aging. A revolutionary idea for Liguria, which opened new paths to the quality and enhancement of native vines.
In 2020, the Lupi winery became part of the PEQ Agri group, with the aim of preserving and growing a historic Ligurian wine brand. A new phase that looks to the future without forgetting the past, thanks also to the continuity guaranteed by the oenologist Alex Berriolo, who has always been a key figure in the company's production and is still at the technical helm of the winery today.
The production philosophy remains faithful to its origins: respect for the raw material, attention to the territory and a vision that combines tradition and innovation. The different DOCs produced represent a journey through the scents and flavors of the most authentic Liguria, telling the story of a difficult but extraordinarily generous land.
