'Alimata' by Villa Raiano is a pure Fiano di Avellino. Alimata is the name of the district in the municipality of Montefredane in the province of Avellino where, at 350 meters above sea level, there is a two-hectare vineyard where the grapes for this wine are grown. The winemaking takes place in steel tanks where it ages on the fine lees for 12 months and an additional 12 months in the bottle. This wine has a surprisingly fine and elegant nose, featuring subtle yet persistent notes of freshly mowed grass, nettle, green apple, and juniper berries. In the background, a strong mineral impact of gypsum and wet stones makes this wine complex and persistent. On the palate, it is both elegant and rich at the same time. There is great dynamism between soft alcoholic sensations and vibrant acidity. The aromatic persistence is long. Perfect with raw and/or smoked fish carpaccio and oysters.

Villa Raiano

In the enchanting setting of Irpinia, among the charming hills of Campania, rises Villa Raiano, a winery that has managed to combine elegance and innovation, becoming an ambassador of the native Campanian grape varieties. This land, rich in history and traditions, is the perfect stage for the production of wines that express the full potential of the territory, thanks also to the prestigious DOCG denominations such as Fiano, Greco, and Taurasi.
Villa Raiano bases its production philosophy on a deep respect for tradition, while not giving up on innovation. Attention to detail and artisanal care blend with modern techniques, creating a bridge between the past and the future that is reflected in wines of extraordinary quality. The cultivated grapes, including Fiano, Aglianico, and Greco, are the beating heart of the winery, protagonists of a wine narrative that enhances the uniqueness of the Irpinian terroir.
Among the main labels stands out the Fiano di Avellino Ventidue, a wine that embodies the elegance and complexity typical of this variety. With its refined aromatic notes and enveloping structure, this wine is an invitation to discover the depth and authenticity of the Campanian wine scene.

THE COMPANY

Villa Raiano was established in 1996 in the old workshops of the oil mill owned by the Basso family, located in the fraction of Raiano in the municipality of Serino (AV). The current winery, built in 2009 at the top of a hill in the territory of the municipality of San Michele di Serino (AV), is the heart of our company. A modern structure, perfectly integrated into the surrounding environment, surrounded by vineyards and chestnut woods. From the panoramic terrace, one can look out over the entire valley of the Sabato River, from its source at the foot of Mount Terminio to the point where it exits the province of Avellino in the municipality of Altavilla Irpina.
