THE COMPANY

The Domaine Masson Blondelet was created by Michelle and Jean-Michel Masson in 1975, but it has its origins in the ancient savoir-faire of a family that has been cultivating vineyards in the famous areas of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé for six generations. The first historical records of the estate date back to 1826, when Antoine Blondelet was already involved in viticulture. The property is located in the Loire Valley, specifically in the eastern area, known in France as the “central vineyard” due to its geographical location right in the center of the country. It belongs to the historic winegrowing regions of the other side of the Alps and is known worldwide for the production of extraordinary white wines based on Sauvignon Blanc, the flagship grape of the territory.
The property of Domaine Masson Blondelet extends over a total area of 22 hectares, divided into several parcels, located in the best territories of the south and southeast, benefiting from a particularly favorable microclimate due to the proximity of the Loire River and the Natural Reserve Park. All the vineyards are located within the territories of the Appellation Pouilly-Fumé and Sancerre. The estate is managed with the utmost respect for the environment, aiming to produce high-quality, healthy, and genuine grapes. Since 1980, no chemical fertilizers have been used, and only organic fertilization as prescribed by Biodynamics is employed.
