The Chardonnay by Livio Felluga is a great Friulian white wine. The vineyards of origin are located in a well-sunny and always ventilated hilly area. The soils are made up of flysch, known in Friulian as ponca, which means stony and poor lands, very rich in minerals and particularly suitable for excellent viticulture. Only stainless steel is used for this refined and intense white, characterized by floral hints, aromas of citrus, ripe white-fleshed fruit, apple, peach, and soft nuances of tropical fruit. Creamy sip, with rich and ripe fruit, fresh and savory, with good structure that perfectly expresses the mineral character of the territory.

THE WINE
The Chardonnay from Livio Felluga is a great white wine from Friuli. The vineyards are located in a sunny and always ventilated hilly area. The soils are composed of flysch, known in Friulian as ponca, which are stony and poorly fertile lands, very rich in minerals and particularly suitable for excellent viticulture. Only stainless steel is used for this refined and intense white, characterized by floral hints, aromas of citrus, ripe white-fleshed fruit, apple, peach, and soft nuances of tropical fruit. It has a creamy sip, with rich and ripe fruit, fresh and savory, of good structure that perfectly expresses the mineral character of the territory.
THE COMPANY
A unique name in the Italian production landscape, as well as a symbol of a region and its wines, it is easy to see how the history of Livio Felluga intertwines with that of an entire territory. This is a story in which a family survived two world wars and witnessed the changing borders around them, eventually deciding to settle on the gentle foothills of the Friuli hills. It is here, not far from Cormòns in the province of Gorizia, that Livio Felluga had to embark on a new battle to revive the hillside, convinced that only the rebirth of quality cultivation could bring life back to the Friulian countryside. With great courage, he began to restore the old vineyards and plant new ones, introducing innovative ideas and methods. A hard job, full of determination and passion, which over the years led him to create one of the most beautiful and significant business realities in the Peninsula, rightfully earning the title unanimously given to him as the rebuilder of Friuli's winemaking tradition.
Today, the company boasts a large vineyard area, ranging from the Collio denomination to the Colli Orientali del Friuli, covering about 155 hectares. In the vineyards, both indigenous and international varieties can be found, including friulano and pinot bianco, chardonnay and ribolla gialla, sauvignon blanc and pinot grigio, picolit and refosco, pignolo and merlot. Grapes that are transformed into what are now called the "wines of the geographical map," which has always been reproduced on the label and depicts an old map of the company’s estates.
And so, the “Vertigo,” the “Nuaré,” and the “Sharis” come to life, followed by all the others, until reaching the “Terre Alte”: wines born from a winery that still shines today for the quality and territorial character it manages to express, a true ambassador of the best Friulian whites - and therefore Italian - around the world.
