The Chardonnay 'Cladreris' from Sirch originates from the ancient hillside village of Prepotto, in the Judrio valley, on the border with Slovenia. About 8 hectares of vineyard located within approximately 46 hectares of surrounding ancient forests. The term 'Terre di confine' used on the label indicates a special character of these wines produced across three borders: the DOC, the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, and the country. Cladrecis wines are true crus with a strong territorial imprint. Aged in barriques. Elegant, complex, and harmonious Chardonnay. Citrus notes blend with creamy pastry sensations leading to a balsamic finish. A complex and harmonious taste supported by elegant acidity, mineral and savory. Elegant.

THE COMPANY
Sirch is a winery that produces wines with great territorial typicity in the beautiful natural setting of the Colli Orientali del Friuli. It is a family-run business that began in the mid-1950s, passing down the love for its land and the passion for winemaking from generation to generation. It has grown over time, following the success of Friulian wines, which, since the 1970s, after the creation of the DOC Colli Orientali, have gained recognition as one of the best national excellences. Today, the winery manages a large property of about a hundred hectares, divided into several estates located in the most suitable areas of the region, and continues to produce labels in line with ancient tradition, focusing on quality. The Colli Orientali area includes the hilly region in the province of Udine towards the Slovenian border. It is a territory historically suited for grape cultivation, due to particularly favorable pedoclimatic conditions. The Julian Alps chain protects the vineyards from disturbances coming from the northeast, and the proximity to the Adriatic coast ensures a temperate and always breezy climate thanks to the gentle breezes. The soils are of ancient marine origin and consist of flysch or “ponca” in Friulano. Eocene marls formed from the sedimentation of limestone, silt, clays, and sandstones, which give rise to stony and crumbly soils, very draining and rich in mineral substances. The wines of Sirch are a faithful mirror of the terroir of the Colli Orientali, a true synthesis of fruit maturity, elegance, freshness, and longevity. The vineyards of the Sirch estate are cultivated in three different areas with particular characteristics. The vineyards in Cividale del Friuli are located near the winery, immersed in a wonderful hilly landscape. The main part of the property is in Orsaria, within the municipality of Primaticcio. Fifty hectares of terraced vineyards that descend from the hilly area to the banks of the Natisone river. Finally, in the Cladrecis area, near Prepotto, not far from the Slovenian border, there is a 12-hectare vineyard estate, surrounded by 46 hectares of woods that guarantee a cool climate characterized by significant temperature variations. The grape varieties cultivated by Sirch are the classic ones of the Colli Orientali: the indigenous Ribolla Gialla, Schioppettino, Pignolo, and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso, as well as the international varieties: Friulano, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Traminer, Pinot Nero, and Merlot.
