The Soave Classico 'Calvarino' by Pieropan is considered the most authentic and traditional expression of Soave wine. Calvarino, one of the most famous Cru of Soave in the region, derives from 'small calvary', due to the difficulty of cultivating the land and the winding path needed to reach the bottom. This historic vineyard, rich in clay and basalt tuff, is able to impart great savoriness and minerality to the wine. Certified organic viticulture. Pronounced varietal notes and distinctive freshness.

Pieropan

In the heart of Veneto, among green hills and lush vineyards, lies the historic winery Pieropan, a true beacon for enthusiasts of Soave Classico. Founded by the Pieropan family, the winery was a pioneer in promoting this white wine, transforming it into a symbol of elegance and longevity that faithfully reflects the Veneto terroir. Here, tradition intertwines with innovation in a harmonious embrace, creating wines that tell stories of passion and expertise.
The Pieropan vineyards, caressed by the mild winds and generous sun of Veneto, are cultivated with dedication and respect for the environment, favoring native varieties such as Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave. These meticulously tended grapes become the soul of wines that captivate with their finesse and aromatic complexity. The Soave Classico of Pieropan is a true gem, with notes of white flowers, almond, and a mineral freshness that enhances its personality.
Among the standout labels, "La Rocca" shines, a wine that represents the pinnacle of the winery's oenological expression, combining structure and delicacy in perfect balance. Every sip of Pieropan wines is an invitation to discover the authenticity of a unique territory, where history and landscape blend in a glass.

THE COMPANY
The Pieropan winery deserves credit for making Soave and its land known to the world as synonymous with great wines. In fact, it is from the meticulous attention and selection of the best grapes that all the wines of the Pieropan winery are born: assisted by his inseparable Teresita, Leonildo Pieropan has demonstrated over difficult years how it was possible, through hard work and respect for the vineyard, to achieve results deemed unattainable. The wines produced are distinguished by their style and by being authentic expressions of the territory and the person who lovingly and dedicatedly produces them. The vineyards of Soave, closely hilly with very old vines, mostly trained on pergolas, give great importance to the Pieropan winery.
The privileged position of the vines and the unconditional love with which Leonildo cares for them makes the wines of Pieropan essential and unique for the concreteness of their style.
It is not easy to maintain such a profile over the decades, but anyone who has had the fortune to taste a Soave from Pieropan over twenty years old knows the evolutionary possibilities of the wines from this territory, which find one of their highest expressions in the bottles of this winery. The same obsessive care is also found in the young red wines of Valpolicella (Ruberpan and Amarone), a new project that has enriched the Pieropan winery.
