The Franciacorta Rosé Nature '61 2017 Berlucchi is made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes handpicked in the third decade of August in the vineyards of Corte Franca and Provaglio d’Iseo. After bottle fermentation, it ages for at least 60 months on the lees, achieving a perfect balance between freshness, savoriness, and creamy effervescence. The bright salmon pink color precedes a bouquet of peach, plum, and dry pastry, with notes of grapefruit, floral hints, and an intriguing touch of pink pepper. On the palate, it is elegant, refined, and persistent. Perfect with fish, sushi, and raw seafood, it stands out for its complexity and style, offered in a deluxe box.

Berlucchi

In 1955, the young winemaker Franco Ziliani approached Guido Berlucchi, a cultured gentleman and owner of a historic estate in Erbusco. Berlucchi was looking for an expert to perfect his Pinot del Castello, but found a visionary partner. Ziliani, fascinated by Palazzo Lana and the ancient cellar, dared to propose something revolutionary: to produce a traditional method sparkling wine in a land associated with still wines.
Guido agreed, and with their friend Giorgio Lanciani by their side, the three pioneers embarked on the challenge. After some experiments, in 1961 the first 3,000 bottles of Pinot di Franciacorta were born, uncorked the following year with success. It was the dawn of a new wine, destined to set a standard.
In 1962, Ziliani signed another first: the Max Rosé, the first classic method Italian rosé, created specifically for Massimiliano Imbert, a refined connoisseur of French rosé bubbles.
From that moment, growth was steady. Berlucchi contributed decisively to defining the Franciacorta style and the affirmation of the denomination itself, which in 1995 obtained the DOCG, the highest Italian quality certification. The winery became a model of reference, bringing the name Franciacorta to the world as a synonym for elegance, innovation, and connection to the territory.
Today, Berlucchi continues to innovate while staying true to its heritage, guided by the Ziliani family with the same passion as in the beginning. Every bottle born at Palazzo Lana tells a story of vision, courage, and authenticity: the story of those who first believed that something extraordinary could also be created in Franciacorta.

THE WINE
The Franciacorta Rosé Nature '61 2017 Berlucchi is made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes handpicked in the third decade of August from the vineyards of Corte Franca and Provaglio d'Iseo. After re-fermentation in the bottle, it ages for at least 60 months on the lees, achieving a perfect balance between freshness, savoriness, and creamy effervescence. The bright salmon pink color precedes a bouquet of peach, plum, and dry pastry, with notes of grapefruit, floral hints, and an intriguing touch of pink pepper. On the palate, it is elegant, fine, and persistent. Perfect with fish, sushi, and raw seafood, it stands out for its complexity and style, offered in a deluxe box.
BERLUCCHI '61 NATURE
The '61 Nature line was created in 2016 and today boasts three vintage Franciacorta wines - '61 Nature, '61 Nature Rosé, and '61 Nature Blanc de blancs - united by long aging and the absence of dosage: a stylistic choice that maximizes the peculiarities of our territory.
Produced from a selection of grapes from the best vineyards owned by Guido Berlucchi, the Franciacorta wines of the '61 Nature line patiently age in the bottle for at least 5 years.
This long aging in contact with the lees allows their flavor to be enriched with precious nuances, finally emphasized by the absence of dosage syrup, in the strict Nature style.
The Berlucchi '61 Franciacorta Nature wines are available in its Nature, Rosé, and Blanc de blancs versions.
THE COMPANY
In 1955, the young and dynamic enologist Franco Ziliani addressed Guido Berlucchi, a country gentleman. Berlucchi was looking for a consultant capable of improving his Pinot del Castello and instead found a partner for a taste adventure that would change the fate of Franciacorta.
Ziliani was fascinated by the elegant figure of Berlucchi, his elegant residence – Palazzo Lana Berlucchi – and the ancient underground cellar.
His youthful dream was to produce a classic method wine in his homeland, Franciacorta, and he dared to propose to Berlucchi the idea of a "sparkling" wine in a region accustomed to still nectars.
Berlucchi accepted, and the two pioneers were joined by their friend Giorgio Lanciani. The challenge began, and after a few less fortunate vintages, in 1961, three thousand bottles of Pinot di Franciacorta were sealed.
Uncorked the following year, they proved excellent. Franciacorta was born!
In 1962, Ziliani created the first Italian classic method rosé, Max Rosé, tailor-made for Massimiliano Imbert, a Milanese antique dealer and friend of Guido Berlucchi. Imbert, a devotee of pink effervescences from across the Alps, desired a rosé crafted to his refined taste: Max Rosé won him over with its name, color, and flavor.
